
He lamented the increase in students' involvement
in social vices in some tertiary institutions in the country, saying that there
was the need for attitudinal change among the youths.
Hon Odey, who made the call when the executive of
Ogoja Students' Union paid him a courtesy call
in his office in Calabar recently, maintained that it was high time the youths
made a re-think by engaging in activities that would impact the society
positively.
He advised the students to take their academic
seriously, insisting that they must read and strive to be better citizens who
would contribute their quota to the development of Ogoja
The lawmaker promised to do his best towards
reducing the sufferings of the students on resumption and closure, saying that
he will provide buses to students of Ogoja on resumption and closure of each
academic year.
Earlier, leader of the delegation, Comrade Justin Elefa said the students will adhere to the advice by the lawmaker and called for synergy between the lawmaker and students of the constituency.
