C`River Delegate Election 2015 Update: Senate Leader's Faction Vows To BoyCott Monday Reschedule Ward Congress

The Senate Leader Victor Ndoma Egba Led faction of the Cross River State PDP yesterday said that they would not participate nor partake in the cancelled Ad-Hoc Ward Delegate Congresses re- scheduled to take place again on Monday next week.
Briefing journalists in Calabar,Director General DG Senator Victor Ndoma`s Campaign Organisation Hon Ernest Irek stated  that  the cancellation, is vehemently rejected by Ndoma Egba`s faction stressing that they should allow the court to determine of the result

"I want to state very clearly on the side of Sen Victor Ndoma Egba Campaign Organisation that whatever has been ascribed to them, that is the cancellation, is vehemently rejected by us on the side of Senator Victor Ndoma Egba Campaign Organisation”
"that we are not happy with that development and that we have prepared ourselves for the next stage of the contest and  indeed we have been having funny stories  because nobody has communicated to us what has happened and as far as I am concerned our position is still the same after we won the first November 2014 Ad-hoc delegates elections”
".If you recalled gentlemen, this matter is in  court and the court has reserved ruling. I do not know why the party is in a such a big hurry to circumvent what the court would do”.

"Thirdly is the fact that this issue of suspension of people from what I saw that statement that I saw in Vanguard, there was no mention of that at all, that means the party is just interested in the suspension of people who could have partake in the same process which they said they had cancelled, which means if it is cancelled, every body is supposed to start the whole process afresh all over again."
According to the DG, no statement had been issued about the suspension or the court, or about the exco that is very bias.
" Take Ebonyi and Adamawa states for instance, the excos were dissolved and care takers committees are now running the place. We cannot imagine that in Cross River State where we have cried foul and there have confirmed that there are two very sharp  division and then you still leave one party to be in charge and announced the names of those who are to become delegates".
“Irek retorts, " We will not and will not partake or participate in such a process where our legs and hands are tied and blind folded. In many cases the matters are subjudiced and the matter is in court and the court would determine it before we know what to do. I have seen so many matters in the country determine long after that” he said.
" They can go ahead and have a swell time if they want to.Take for instance, Taraba state Deputy Governor who have gone through the garment of the Supreme Court today he is being sworn in as the acting Governor. Ngilare of Adamawa state the same story are like this. So if they are in a hurry to pick delegates is their own business”.

"Nobody called us in the party Secretariat in Abuja to even take our own side of the story. We have always heard that the other side had been going there. So if they think that there have got their own way through, well we are going to wait untill whatever is the outcome of the court process we would go through it but paraventure if we think that anything is to go by."Irek added.
According to Irek, We won and they complained, so if they win now, you think we would not complain? Is that what you are saying if they go now and win you think we would not complain or if we go now and win again you think they will not complain again!" The DG stated.
Irek maintained that the National body of the PDP should be able to stand their ground on so many of these issues so that the people would know that we have a party.
He said that it is very unfortunate even in worst case scenarios in some states which he won’t mentioned adding that there similar issues in other state and he wondered why Cross River state is being singled out.
"So we are not going to participate or partake at this kind of process which we think is completely  compromised, if it is not compromise we won't get this kind of a  thing. Within a period of two days you want us to go and do elections which you have been bickering since November first"?.
Irek wondered why after 19 days of election, the leadership woke up to say result of elections that people won and are jubilating.
" people who won elections have gone jubilating. people who are psychologically moved that they had won elections and  you now  said you are not giving us result of the elections and the court said hold on we want to determine it and you said you are not ready I don't want to insinuate anything” Irek said.
