It was show of love for their son as he vies to return to the Senate once again. The Akparabong Community thronged out in jubilation and support for him as he stepped in to cast his vote in the PDP Delegate Elections.
These puts to rest the allegations that the Senate Leader was not popular in his hometown.
Even though his coming was unannounced, many still rushed unto the streets to catch a glimpse of their illustrious son. The aged, youths and even children could be seen breaking out in joyous dance steps as his convoy crawled in.
Many car owners and okada riders joined the convoy as they displayed enthusiastic excitement. old women could be seen openly praying for him as they waved.
It was an emotional sight as he was forced to go round the village with them.
But the Senator who had to continue with his tight schedule came out the village a happy man.
This was supposed to be a political move to cast his vote in his ward, Nkpanjen Town Hall in Akparabong Community in Ikom, but it turned out a homecoming.
