PDP GOV. ASPIRANTS WHO EMERGED IN THE 2014 PRIMARIES & THE DRAMA YOU MISSED


RIVERS STATE- Former Supervising Minister of Education, Chief Nisom Wike scored 1083 votes out of 1108 votes cast by delegates from the 33 LGA’s of the state.

ABIA STATE- Dr. Okeyie Ikpeayo emerged as candidate by pilling 487 votes to beat his closest rival Dr. Uche Ogar who got 103 votes.

DELTA STATE- Dr. Ifeanyi Okeowa emerged Governorship Candidate; Senator Okeowa scored 406 votes to defeat David Edevio who scored 299 votes.

IMO STATE- Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha pulled a total of 346 votes to defeat Senator Ifeanyi Ararome who scored 336 votes.

ENUGU STATE- Ifeanyi Ogwuanyi was declared winner with 933 votes against Chief Eugene Odoh who got 26 votes at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium. King Asara Asara presided returning officer was Prince Okey Okonta Ayogu Eze was declared winner with 530 votes, while 82 Division Parade Ground, after 3 parallel primaries were conducted in one location.

Professor Onyede Onyende emerged winner with 622 votes to defeat the other contestants. The Aspirants said they were pushed into carrying out parallel elections because they faulted the delegate list in possession of the returning officer Asara Asara.

OGUN STATE: Prince Gboyega Isiaks won the ticket despite a report that the national leadership has cancelled the exercise. Prince Isiaka pulled 705 votes to defeat Mr. Jedeli Amosun who had 106 votes. 8 of the aspirants whose names appeared on the list did not show up for the exercise. But Prince Segun Adewale who did, scored no vote.

Reacting on the cancellation, the State Chairman of the Party, Mr. Adebayo Dayo said he did not receive any official notice of such from the National Headquarters. Also the state Administrative Secretary of INEC, Mr. Dickson Atiba said the commissioner was not informed of the cancellation.

EBONYI: The Deputy Chief. Dave Omayi emerged as winner by pulling 541 votes to beat six other rivals. Former minister of Health, Chief Onyebuchi Chukwu, one of the aspirants did not participate in the primaries.

Dr. Ofianwali, Dr. Paul Okorie, Dr. Igwe Aja Nwanchukwu, Chief Hycient Ikwo, Chief Mike Anoke, Senator Igwe  Nwagu 592 delegates were credited Gov. Ayodele Foyose of Ekiti State doubled as Chairman of Ebonyi, State PDP Guber-Electoral Committee and returning officer announced the vote. Thus; Dr. Ofianwali-0, Igwe Aja Nwa Chukwu-1, Chief Hycient Ikwo-8, Chief Paul Okorie-9, Hon. Mike Anoke-0, Sen. Igwe Paulinus-15, Nweze David Omayi-541 votes declared winner.

KADUNA: Governor Muktar emerged winner as he scored 970 out of the 972 votes cast. His co-contestant, Mr. Gizo Azeez scored 1 vote while 1 vote was invalid.

KASTINA: Alhaji Musa Nashinu was declared winner by chairman Abubakar Muazu who said the highest vote of 1309 beat 9 other aspirants.

ADAMAWA: EFCC former chairman Malam Nuhu Ribadu emerged winner of the primaries held in the old parade ground, Abuja.

Madam Ribadu pulled 638 votes to beat Mr. Marcus Ndere who scored 33 votes.

Meanwhile the leadership of the party has asked stakeholders in Taraba state to come up with a sharing formula to meet the deadlines for the conduct of the Primaries and Submission of Candidates-1, Muazu adviced them..

Taraba & Ondo are the 2 states yet to hold primaries.

BORNO: Former Senate leader Teslim Folarin in a landslide victory he scored 167 votes out of 198 rallied votes to defeat other contestants. Former Deputy Governor. Azim Gbolarumi scored 12 votes, Prof Soji Adejumo scored 4 votes, Dr. Azeez Adeduto had 3 votes, Former Governor of Oyo State, Chief AdebayoAlo Akala, former commissioner for health Dr Babalola Owolabi and Mr. Seyi Makinde and Mr. Femi Babalola were absent at the exercise, commenting on the absence at the poll of other contestants, the publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Kehinde Salau said the aspirants did not withdraw officially.
