Delegate Elections Inconclusive In Most Part OF Cross River State

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP Election of delegates scheduled to hold Saturday November 1,as prescribed by party guideline ended up inconclusive.

In Cross River State Cental Senatorial District of the state material for the elections could not reach voters in their respective wards on time.
Elections materials were said to have left the PDP state Secretariat at about 3:30Pm to the different wards across the 3 Senatorial Districts of the state.

At about 4:17pm voters were seen loitering about in one of the polling units of Akpet Central area of Biase Local Government Area of the state with high expectation for the elections materials to arrive to enable them cast their votes in favour of who their delegate should be.

It was however gathered that materials did not leave the party secretariat because the aspirants vying for gubernatorial positions, Reps and Senate had a stakeholders meeting with the leadership issues with the party with regards to claims and counter claims that the party leadership wanted to scheme those whose faces they do not want in the party out from the look of things.

Only yesterday, news made the rounds within the metropolis of Calabar that certain faction of the party had flooded the streets with fake PDP materials even when there wasen`t any evidence to back up the claim.

However,members of the other faction said that the alarm raised by the opposite camp of the PDP concerning the circulation of fake membership and delegate cards being in circulation was baseless stressing that the opposition is crying foul because of their inability to cheat, since the Leadership of the PDP national gave aspirants a go ahead to purchase their delegate form in Wadata House ,Abuja party Secretariat or at the PDP Secretariat in Calabar.
