AMBASSADOR ABDALLAH WALI PICKS FORM, DESCRIBES GOV. ALIYU WAMAKO MAGATAKARDA AS A FAILURE

The immediate past Nigeria Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco and former Minister of National Planning Commission, Senator Abdallah Muhammed Wali has visited the PDP national Secretariat to pick his expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the 2015 Sokoto State governorship election.

In a chat with journalists after afterwards, Senator Wali, in the company of his throng of supporters, described the government of Governor Aliyu Wamako Magatakarda as a failure, stressing that the state has remained backward in all sectors of the society.

Senator Wali explained that he was contesting the election because his people wanted him to govern them having consulted extensively with all stakeholders adding that Sokoto State was presently at the lowest level in terms of development in spite of its abundant human and mineral resources.

They are currently four aspirants jostling for the seat, and efforts by the PDP to convince any of the candidates to step-down for one of them has been rebuffed by the aspirants.
The list includes;  the state Deputy Governor, Barrister Mukhtari Shagari, a former Minister of Sports, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman, Nigerian Ambassador to Morocco, Alhaji Abdallah Wali and a former Senator, Alhaji Abubakar Gada.
