After the pool of government executives that pull out in
resignation in order to further their ambitions to contest in various positions
in the past election, it appears that the fair-weather relationship between his
between his between his aide and the Cross River State government under Senator
Liyel Imoke is back.
Many of the resignations saw the State Executive Council almost
empty even as Gov. Liyel Imoke was mocked in some quarters, of being abandoned
by his exco members, who should stand by him to the end.
Though, others did accuse the resigned officers of over
ambition and their inability to read the lips of their boss, since it was
obvious that the position for which they were resigning for, were too few for
the number of resigned officers.
Recall that the need to resign and contest the governorship,
the highest political office in the state arose from the zoning of the position
to Cross River north by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
It is obvious that the officers having lost the battle of
political selections are now left gapping like fishes out of the ocean are back
in order to avoid the dry ponds of real life outside the pecks of office. Yet,
a greater number was not so lucky as they missed were either to pissed to
remain within the PDP fold or were to disloyal to have the face to return
humbled.
Their names are as follows;
Nominations for Commissioners- Messrs Attah Ochinke
Gab
Odu Orji,
Patrick Ugbe,
Tanko Ashang
and Ukam Edodi
Meanwhile, Peter Oti
has even before confirmation by the House
Of Assembly been sighted at his office at the State Internal Revenue
Service, where he is still holding sway as the Executive Chairman.
