BOKI GROUP BACKS PDP CANDIDATES FOR 2015 ELECTIONS

The Boki Solidarity front (BSF) in Cross River has thrown its weight behind the Candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State for the forthcoming general elections.

Mr Alvis Ochang, Director General of the front stated this on Monday in Ntamante, Boki Local Government Area.
Alvis said that, as the ruling party in the State and the country, the PDP has performed creditably well in the areas of provision of social infrastructure.
``And this is why we have decided to pledge our support for all the party’s Candidates.
``Beginning from President Goodluck Jonathan, Sen. Ben Ayade (Governorship), the National Assembly Candidates for the three Senatorial districts, as well as the State Assembly candidates, ‘’ he said.

According to him, the group was mobising both financial and moral support for all the PDP candidates to ensure that they emerge victorious.
He said that as a Political support group, it would sit down with the candidates to discuss the development of Boki nation when they win in 2015 general elections.
``We need access roads to link several of our rural Communities to enable our people transport their palm produce and other Agricultural products to the urban area.
``We need bridges so that our people can have access to the Local Government Council Headquarter, ‘’ Alvis stated.

He said that Boki as the largest local government area in the State has the voting strength that needs to be utilised to their advantage.
``I therefore enjoin our people and Cross Riverians in general to vote for the PDP in the coming elections.
``This will enable us to pursue our genuine demands for the development of our area, ‘’ he said.
He described the presence of other political parties in the State as mere alternatives to the PDP.
