SENATOR VICTOR NDOMA EGBA PICKS FORM TO RETURN TO THE SENATE

The PDP Secretariat in Calabar on Wednesday hosted another set of political supporters and party caucus members, when Senator Ndoma Egba visited the state political fortress to express his interest to the party leadership to seek re-election for a fourth term in the Senate come 2015.

According to him, he was seeking a re-election because he has impacted greatly on the lives of his constituents.

Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba believes that because he has sponsored 39 bills as lawmaker in the upper chamber of the National Assembly from 2003 till date, he deserves to stay on.
Among the Bills, he named the Freedom of Information Bill (FOI) which was passed into law by the Senate in 2011, stressing that the information bill has given right of access to official records and information held by public institutions.
He continued “As a Senator, I have attracted 76 projects to the people of Central Senatorial District, awarded scholarship to 600 undergraduates and post graduates students, facilitated employment for our youths and others.

``I wish to use this medium to assure my people that if am re-elected into the senate, I will not let them down. I will continue to provide the necessary amenities they need.
``It is important to return the Senate Leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria back to the senate to continue his good work’’, he said.
He appealed to the leadership of the party to create a leveled playing ground for all aspirants during the fourth coming primaries.

In his remarks Mr John Okon, Chairman PDP in Cross River, assured the Senator that the party would create a leveled playing ground for all aspirants to taste their popularity during the primaries.
Okon said that the state PDP has deepened democracy in the State by establishing offices across the 18 local government areas of the State.
