LIST OF DIRTY ITEMS IN YOUR POSSESSION

I have always wished that the microscope as an instrument could be owned by every home. That way, we will all have the privilege of sighting the germ organisms, since they are invisible to the naked eye. Germs are also called microbes.

My inquisition into hygiene led me into learning more about these microbes. That they are both good and bad ones, it is important to keep in mind is that not all microbes are bad since the good ones help our bodies stay in balance. The bad ones make us sick.

We should be concern with those ones that can harm our health because we know that health is wealth. But with the right information on good hygiene habits, we could live better quality of lives; protecting ourselves from small germ causing illnesses that could develop into big health issues later on in our lives.

Like I usually say, just because we can't sight germs doesn't mean they aren't there. Germs live everywhere that is conducive for their survival. However, the great news is that there are affordable and available household items in the form of bleaches, detergents, common salt, etc one could fight off germs with.

While we know the things we consider dirty, there are valuable possessions we cherish which house more microbes than you can ever imagine and in this write up, I have packaged a moderate list for your pleasure. The rest are for you to explore…

Handsets and related electronic gadgets:
This is one of the most modern trends of fraternizing with germs. Almost everybody owns a handy but very few understand the responsibility of killing germs on it. At the very worst, some people take and place them everywhere including the toilet, kitchen sink, car, refuge bin etc. This makes it possible for the organisms to live on phone and their pockets.
Care; at least once a week, the handset should be mopped using a cotton wool moisten with spirit based solutions or any other disinfectant available.

Handbags:
These handy possessions are the most easily contaminated. Especially ladies, carry their bags everywhere. Into the toilet, markets, floors, sidewalks, even to the moon and back. In the process, these bags gather all kinds of germs. And then we cuddle them and possibly carry snacks and other things we put into our mouths in them.
Care; please clean out the handbags all the time and dry them under the heat of the sun.

Towels- Face, hands, body, hankies, etc
I have heard more than once people bringing up discussions on how their body towels rub dirt from their bodies even after clean shower activities. The answer is simple. If your towel becomes dirty after a shower, it is because you are not bathing well. One essence of bathing is to take off all dirt from the skin and the best way to achieve that is to find quality time to engage in it. Many people want to prove just how quick they dash out of the bathroom; hence they use the towel to finish the cleaning business. This should be achieved with water, soap and sponge; vigorously clean and wash repeatedly in one exercise. Your towels should never be stained afterwards, otherwise you are not clean.  Hand towels must be washed as soon as possible, they don't have to look dirty because they are doing you a cleaning service. All towels generally must be treated with love, respect and care. Never dump them after use or they will certainly smell. If there is odor in your towel, then it should not be reused. It is a red flag saying I am harboring germs.
Care; Wash your towels with detergents, dry under good heat and iron if possible.

Toothbrush;
This indispensable hygiene tool ought to be kept like a treasure, protected and prevented from being reached by germs. But if you see where some people dump their tooth brushes immediately after use, you might throw up. There should never be residue of paste or food particles remaining in your toot brush after use
Care; should include often washing it in hot saltwater or dousing it in a disinfectant. Flush it thoroughly after every use. Keep in a clean safe container. Store upside down where possible.
