STOP PRESS!!! CHIBOK GIRLS, NOT RELEASED!

The Army spokesman Brig Gen Chris Olukolade has   told  an online news media  that  there were girls in military custody, but not those from Chibok as originally thought.

Nigeria's military has retracted its statement that some of the schoolgirls abducted from Chibok town in April by Islamist militants had been freed.


Internet reports have previously gone viral with the erroneous news that some of the Chibok Girls in Boko Haram custody have been released
